Camacho cigars were first introduced in 1961. Simon Camacho founded the brand in Miami, Florida, after being exiled from Cuba. Camacho cigars were created using tobacco found around Central America. Camacho cigars soon earned a reputation worldwide and were even smoked by some of the greatest cigar aficionadas including Winston Churchill.

The Camacho cigar brand was acquired by the Eiroa family in 1995 after the death of Simon Camacho. The Eiroa family has deep roots in the tobacco growing industry dating back to the early 1900’s. Recently Camacho was acquired by the Oettinger Davidoff Group.
